Static and dynamic story shear in split-level building on sloping ground

چکیده
Building structures located on slopes behave differently than flat ground because of the different levels stepped floors made to overcome slope land, resulting in several layers basements. Also, due existence these steps and difference soil level, a retaining wall is often hold soil. The forces acting structure consist those walls, both against gravity loads earthquake loads. Often, there an avalanche force stability slopes. main objective this research to: evaluate distribution story-shear based static dynamic analysis building structures. This paper discusses seven-story with floors, which then used calculate similar 14 levels. In case study, load lateral earth pressure calculated separately from assumption that (soldier-pile) can carry as well sliding stability. Therefore, be designed without considering presence differences conclusion, results showed first seventh smaller eighth floor.

Gait Transitions for Quasi-static Hexapedal Locomotion on Level Ground
As robot bodies become more capable, the motivation grows to better coordinate them—whether multiple limbs attached to a body or multiple bodies assigned to a task. This paper introduces a new formalism for coordination of periodic tasks, with specific application to gait transitions for legged platforms. Specifically, we make modest use of classical group theory to replace combinatorial search...

proficiency level and factors fostering reticence in efl learners
according to cheng (1999), in recent esl/efl literature, asian (especially east asian) learners of english as a foreign/second language have been arguably reported as reticent and passive learners. the most common allegations are that these students are reluctant to participate in classroom discourse; they are unwilling to give responses; they do not ask questions; and they are passive and over...

This paper presents a practical methodology for optimization of concentrically braced steel frames subjected to forward directivity near-fault ground motions, based on the concept of uniform deformation theory. This is performed by gradually shifting inefficient material from strong parts of the structure to the weak areas until a state of uniform deformation is achieved. In this regard, to ove...
متن کاملEvaluation of Torsional Single Story Structure During Earthquake According to Canadian provision
In this article, we tried to emphasis in how the range of torsionally stiff and flexible single story buildings works. The designed base was according to provisions of the Canadian standard, 2005 NBCC. The behavior of nonlinear dynamic time history of eight building models subjected to seven horizontal bi-directional ground motions compatible with design spectra are investigated. These models c...
